Rome hotels

You will immediately find yourself immersed in the architectural beauties of this splendid city: as soon as you go out of the Augustus Hotel you will find Porta Pia, Michelangelo's last work, commissioned in 1561 by Pope Pius IV. All around, between Piazza Fiume and Via Piave, rise important buildings such as that housing the Ministry of Public Works and Transport. A few yards from the hotel there is Via Veneto (America embassy), the beating heart of the Dolce Vita of the sixties, and still famous today for the historic luxury cafés along its sidewalks. Just a little way off, instead, you can admire the splendid Villa Borghese, which houses one of the largest art collections in the world.
The Hotel is in an extremely strategic position: not only extremely close to the Termini Station, but with excellent links by the efficient public transport network to all the places of major artistic and cultural interest. And for those who decide to move around by car, there is an available private garage and a public car park just next to this Rome hotel. The Augustus Hotel is above all the ideal base from which to discover the grandiose architectural remains of Imperial Rome. On foot or by public transport, you can very quickly reach the Coliseum, the Roman Forum, the Domus Aurea and the Caracalla Baths.
And to get a thorough knowledge of the Roman culture of wine and food, you will not have to go far: in the area around Via Piave and Piazza Fiume there are a great number of restaurants and eating-places!

In the heart of the historic center: the ideal base for exploring the city.
